Born and raised in Bulverde Texas, Zach’s love of music theatre was sparked at age three while marching up and down the stairs imitating the Von Trapp kids. This marked his first love of Julie Andrews. Recognizing his natural gifts and life passion, his parents enrolled him in dance classes at age seven. Zach attended Earle Cobb Dance Studio through his senior year of high school under the direction of Dena Mabry. In fifth grade Dena cast him in his first musical at the North East School of Arts (NESA) as Junior Dolan in ON YOUR TOES. Later, Zach auditioned and was accepted into NESA as a double major in musical theater and dance.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from NESA, Zach was then accepted into Florida State University (FSU) majoring in Musical Theater. During the summers he had various performing opportunities. He performed at Sea World in San Antonio as well as Central Piedmont Summer Theater (CPCC) in Charlotte, NC. Zach also worked with Billy Sprague Jr. dancing the original choreography of SPAMALOT at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre. His sophomore year he interned with Maine State Music Theatre and had the opportunity to work with Michael Gorman and Donna Drake in A CHORUS LINE, Marc Robin in LEGALLY BLONDE, and Michael Lichtefeld and Charles Repole in 42ND STREET.
